I'm going to get GUSHY
(From archived lianprice.com blog, circa 2014.)
Hey Fit Fam!
I had to write to you on this lovely Monday morning about a very special online coaching client of mine. She absolutely deserves some serious recognition, as this Bride-to-be went from 120 lbs. to 108 lbs. in 5 months!! So allow me to get gushy for a second because results like these are why I do what I do! :)
This gorgeous bride-to-be had every excuse in the book to stress out and not lose weight. She has a multiple-hour, interstate commute to work, tons of traveling forcing her to live out of a suitcase half the time, roommates whose eating habits were less than stellar, and of course, the chaotic part-time job of planning a wedding!
Yet this kick-ass client went ahead and lost over 11 inches combined between her waist and her hips. She gained a ton of strength and endurance (that she noted she hadn't been able to experience since her college soccer-playing days,) toned up her entire body, and raised her metabolism back up so high that her seamstress literally told her: "Stop losing weight! I physically can't take your dress in any more!"
The best part about all of this:
Did she look absolutely STUNNING on her wedding day? YES. Was she a total hottie on her honeymoon? Check out the pic below of her in Bora Bora, but let me go ahead and answer that: YES!!
But I am most proud of the fact that she has now ingrained healthy habits into her daily routine, which have become her NEW NORMAL.
She doesn't have to kill herself in the gym for 2 hours each day. She just has make she sure she fits in a quick, hard-hitting efficient workout for the majority of the days in each week.
She isn't limited to eating only chicken, oatmeal and asparagus, like so many people believe is the only way to stay lean. (ughhh. Insert un-smiley face.) She can eat what she is craving on that particular day and maintain a great balance because she has learned to listen to her body and feed it what it needs.
These habits and this new physical intuitiveness is what is going to help her stay under 108 lbs. for life. Because in my opinion there is NO SUCCESS IN TEMPORARY RESULTS. THE ONLY TRUE SUCCESS IS THAT WHICH IS LASTING AND SUSTAINABLE.
So without further ado, I give you Kristy!!! :)
